Happy Birthday Bracker!!!

Today is Bracken's birthday. Although the day is almost over, I think it is worthy of a post. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRACKEN! I cannot tell you how lucky I feel to be married to my best friend and to have you as my eternal companion. I am so blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for always making me happy and for all the you do for me. If you know Bracken, you know that he always makes you feel comfortable and can almost always make you laugh. He is so fun to be around and easy to talk to. I cannot wait for him to be a dad! You are the best babe! I love you!!!

For his birthday, we actually celebrated on Memorial Day because he had the day off. We had a BBQ at his parents, went swimming with friends, put together the babies dresser, and then finished the day off with our good friends Brie, Brandon, and baby Braxton roasting hotdogs and starbursts over the new fire pit Brack got for his birthday! It was a day full of fun and we loved it!! Bracken has been wanting a fire pit for 2 years now so I'm glad he finally got it. We had a blast. For those of you who wonder about roasting starbursts, we were hesitant to. But Brie provided the starbursts and we roasted away. It works great, they become crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Delicious :) Thanks for celebrating with us guys :)

This is a HORRIBLE picture of me but Brack is cute. (I don't really like any pictures of me these days though.)

Brandon, Brie and Baby

Today was a little low key. I was pretty exhausted from a fun filled day yesterday. After work we went to dinner with my parents at Famous Daves (Brack's pick). I'm to the point that I really need to watch my portions because man I ate too much! Then we spent the rest of the evening making some baby purchases and then visiting his parents. All in all, it was a fun couple of days. We also went to Park City this weekend for a little baby shopping. We have been busy!!!

Any way, I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I'll update on that later. For now, I hope you had a wonderful birthday Brack! You deserve it!

20.5 weeks and no bed rest....yet :)

Well I have made it to 20 weeks now. I can't believe it. Time has actually started to go by faster and I'm very happy about that. I guess it has been a month since my last post on my babies. Not a whole lot is new. I've been going to the doctor every 2 weeks and so far everything is looking great. I need to post an updated belly picture but haven't taken one for a few weeks so I'll have to get one this weekend.

Last week Brack and I either came down with a virus or food poisoning (we are thinking food poisoning) on Monday and it SUCKED! I ended up having to go into the hospital for dehydration. I was so happy to go in though because they were able to stop the vomitting. I had thrown up so hard that every muscle in my belly was strained and I was in a lot of pain from it. So after a few bags of IV fluid I was feeling a lot better. Sweet Bracken was so good to me. It was the middle of the night and by the time we got home he had been awake for 21 hours straight. He also started getting sick and vomitting at the hospital and didn't even tell me because he didn't want me to worry. Poor guy got really sick too. So the next day we spent with me in bed and him on the couch. It was a party. Luckily by Wednesday we were all better. I was really happy with how the OB emergency services at the U helped me and handled everything. They were very kind to me which made me feel so much better. The resident doctor was happy I came in because dehydration can start contractions and that is the last thing that we need. She also did a quick ultrasound to check on the babies and of course they were doing great (mommy just wasn't) and were fighting in there. The doctor thought it was funny so she watched them for a little bit longer. Wow I never want to go through that again though. It is definitely worse while pregnant.

Other than that, I had an appointment this Wednesday. It was the first time I haven't had an ultrasound at an appointment and we were successful in finding all 3 heartbeats. It was fun to finally hear them!!! So far my doctor is really happy with how I am doing. My blood pressure is holding great and so far my cervix is too. Next check up will be in 2 weeks so we'll see what happens then. It's pretty crazy because things can change very very quickly with 3 babies in there. In fact, 2 weeks ago I was measuring (or my uterus was measuring) 25 weeks. This week it was 32!!! Can you believe that? I can't. No wonder I have felt so big lately. Holy cow! The doctor was pleased by this because it means babies are growing so I should be happy too. So today he told me that I'm not being put on bed rest...yet. Woo Hoo! I guess I just go week by week now. He did say to lay down for an hour in the morning and afternoon and to listen to my body for when I'm tired. By the end of the day, I'm exhausted no matter what so I usually can't do much. My belly hurts every night from all the work of holding 3 babies, I have horrible heartburn, and sleeping is just not very comfortable. So there is my complaining. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with how things are going. I am so grateful that the babies are growing so well, that I'm doing so good, and for the many prayers on our behalf. We truly don't know what we would do without our friends and family. You all have been so good to us!

I have my first shower this weekend and am so excited. Already so many people have been so generous and kind. It is fun to have the showers because it makes things feel so real. I can't believe how close we are getting to these babies coming. What a miracle. We feel so blessed. So for now, 2 more weeks until further news. Keep growing babies!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is a very special day for many mother's. I needed to be sure to take some time to tell my mom HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! If you know my mother you know that she is truly an amazing person. She is the hardest worker I have ever met. She has always worked full time (driving from Kaysville to Provo), is a full time mom, served in church callings faithfully and to the fullest, is a great wife, and the best example in the world. I have never met someone who is a harder worker and who puts others before herself more often. Even to this day she is constantly serving her family, especially me these days. I could not have been given a better mother. She is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her in my life. Mom thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for me! I can only hope to be half the mom you have been! I love you!
*Babies are doing great and so am I :) I will update about them soon.
